2005 Acura TSX - Customized "Platinum" - Presidential Automotive ...

This 2005 Acura TSX was purchased as a ?daily driver? in my clients arsenal of very clean Honda?s. It was bone stock only a couple weeks ago, but now has Buddy Club coil-overs and 19? wheels that really set the car off! The car looked great, but the paint was in pretty rough shape. It had several deep scratches and a handful of surface level scratches, along with the normal swirling and buffer trails from improper washing and the dealership ?prep? detail. Once my client got a good look at the paint, he couldnt bear it anymore and decided to have me come out. He keeps his cars very clean and does is own detail work, the work needed on the paint was just a little of out his comfort zone, so we decided to make up a custom paint correction only (No Wheels,Engine,Interior) package for him.

Paint Correction

After prepping the car to be polished, I set up the halogen lights to began the paint correction. Just about every side panel on the car had at least 1 deep scratch, some of them needed light wet sanding. The car is daily driven and I wanted to play it safe, so I didnt focus on 100% removal. I was able to get them about 90% removed, or atleast so that they were not visible to the naked eye.

Here is the drivers rear quaerter panel before compounding.

Here you can see some of the deep scratches that were present on most of the panels.

After a couple passes with no luck, I decided to do some light wetsanding to atleast conceal the scratch a little.

This is what was left, although visible under my lighting, it would be hard for anyone to ever notice in normal lighting conditions.

Next I focused on the trunk, which had some deep RIDS that needed to be removed.

There were some deep scratches in the corner, so I taped it off to wet sand. I forgot to take a picture of it sanded.
