If the default alarm clock on your iPhone or iPod Touch leaves a little to be desired, Rise is a new alarm clock that's sleek and minimal. Don't be fooled however: behind its good looks are useful features like wake-up songs and morning playlists and a completely gesture-friendly UI.
The video above does a great job at showing you some of Rise's best features. Even setting your alarm for the next morning looks great, and changing your alarm time on the fly by minutes or hours is as easy as tapping and sliding your finger up or down on the screen, or tapping above or below the wake-up time to add or remove a few minutes.
After you set the alarm, you can tell the app to wake you up with a specific song from your music library, or use a whole morning playlist to get your day started off right. The app works whether your phone is locked or not, and can be told to repeat alarms so you don't have to reset it every day. Rise is new, and available now for $1.99 in the iTunes App Store.
