Rome PD: 3 charged after selling alcohol to minors

Three people face charges after allegedly selling alcohol to minors during an undercover compliance check run by the Rome Police Department.

Police visited more than 15 retail stores Thursday and had underage individuals attempt to purchase alcohol. The clerks at three of those stores later were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

The stores found to be noncompliant were:

  • Country Farms Market, 916 Floyd Ave.
  • Xtramart, 268 E. Dominick St.
  • Nice N Easy, 2007 N. James St.
